Abi is the founder of Smart Girls HQ, a social venture focused on increasing female participation in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) pipeline along the K - 12 learning path.
In 2018, her organization launched Raising Smart Girls, a digital platform dedicated to equipping parents with quality resources to inspire, explore and sustain their daughter’s interests in STEM and to build the character and self-confidence that develops them into leaders and innovators.
She serves on the NC Steering Committee for Computer Science in K12 Schools and is currently working with local Charlotte organizations to pilot a yearlong STEM enrichment program for elementary aged girls this fall.
Abi brings her personal experiences as a woman in Technology to her work. Most recently, she led Internet of Things (IOT) strategy development and digital transformation projects at Ingersoll Rand.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech and MBA from Indiana University.
